Teen Bus Camp
Due to low enrollment (just under 50% capacity), we are unable to run the originally planned 4-day-in-a-row camp. After receiving valuable feedback from many families, we learned that a consecutive 4-day schedule was challenging to fit around other summer activities and sports. Rather than wait to see if more registrations come in, we decided to make this change now so that families can plan for the coming weeks.
 
To better accommodate everyone, we’re shifting to two separate 1-day bus trips, and we’re excited about what we have planned:
 
New Trip Schedule:
Day 1: Idlewild Park – Tuesday, June 24, 2025
Day 2: Presque Isle State Park (Beach Day) – Tuesday, July 8, 2025
Both trips will be packed with fun and are designed to give teens a great experience!




Chartiers Township Parks & Recreation is hosting Teen Bus Camp for ages 12 – 15. This camp runs Monday – Thursday from approximately 8:30AM – 6:00PM (times will be slightly different depending on each trip.) Each day, the teens and staff will get on a bus from the Chartiers Twp Community Center and travel to a different location to have a fun-filled day! While there are adult camp counselors that accompany the campers to each location, teens have a lot of freedom to explore and learn to be responsible young adults. Campers will be gone for the whole day. Most days we will leave the center between 8am and 9am and return home between 5pm and 7pm. The schedule below is RAIN OR SHINE and is TENTATIVE as trips are subject to change. All tickets and bus fees included. Teens will need a packed lunch or money to purchase lunch (if applicable). Grab a friend and sign-up today!

Monday: Presque Isle Beach / State Park
Tuesday: Idlewild
Wednesday: Keystone Safari & Zip Lining
Thursday: Tygart Adventure Lake (replaced Ohiopyle)
