Teen Trips
Join Chartiers Twp Parks & Recreation for Teen BUS TRIPS this year! Trips leave from the Community Center and are on a school bus with adult supervisors on board. Participants can sign up and register online or by making an in-person appointment at the Community Center. 
 
 
6/24/25 - Idlewild
Join us for a fun-filled day at Idlewild & SoakZone! This trip is open to teens ages 12–16 and includes round-trip bus transportation, park admission, and supervision by two adult counselors.
Departure: 9:00 AM
Return: 7:00 PM
Teens will have the freedom to explore the park with friends while learning independence and responsibility. While counselors will be present throughout the day, participants are expected to explore with their friend(s). It’s strongly encouraged that teens sign up with a friend or two, so they are not on their own.

What’s Included:
  • Round-trip transportation
  • Admission to Idlewild & SoakZone
  • Adult supervision
Teens should bring money for lunch or a packed meal (per park policies). Portable phone chargers, snacks, and water are also recommended for this 10-hour outing.

Cost: $79/resident or $85/non-resident

7/8/25 - Presque Isle State Park
Ready for a day of sun, sand, and fun? Teens ages 12–16 are invited to join us for a beach trip to Presque Isle State Park! The day includes round-trip transportation, two adult supervisors, and plenty of free time to relax, swim, and explore the beach with friends.

Departure: 8:30 AM
Return around: 6:30 PM

While adult counselors will be present at the park, teens will enjoy a high level of independence and are encouraged to use the day to build responsibility and social skills. All participants should register with at least one friend, as they'll be spending the day independently at the beach.

What’s Included:
-Round-trip bus transportation
-Supervision by two adult counselors

Teens should bring:
-A packed lunch or money for food
-Beachwear, towel, sunscreen, water, etc.
-Snacks and a portable phone charger for the full-day outing

Cost: $65/resident or $70/non-resident
